Hello All,
I have been searching for this book ( and others by Pak Vic) but all are out of print. At least from what I have discovered in my search of the web. If anyone knows of a website, person, bookstore, etc that may carry this book please let me know as I am chomping at the bit to read this book.
I will reward you with a bag of SNickerdoodles or a nice Ginger Bread cake all home made by my Wife. :)
Seriously - This book would be an awesome addition to my library and the cookies could be yours. Help please!

Re: Serak the Tsunami - anyone know of an available copy?
Tue, December 5, 2006 - 4:49 PMMaha Guru Victor has *many* irons in the fire right now, but among those many things he has in the works he is working on a new revision on the "Serak: the Tsunami" book to be printed. Hopefully this will be finished within the next year but with all his other priorities please don't hold me to that estimate. All I can tell you for sure is that it is in the works.
As for obtaining a copy of the out-of-print edition I would say ebay is your best bet (I see them from time to time) or maybe try the used book network through Amazon.com.
Good luck!

Re: Serak the Tsunami - anyone know of an available copy?
Thu, March 22, 2007 - 12:01 PMThanks John!
I am affiliated with the SantaCruzSilat through a branch in RWC and so far no one is willing to part with their copy. Go figure :)
I will certainly continue to seek the book. I am certain it will turn up soon enough!
-Peace,
Ray

Re: Serak the Tsunami - anyone know of an available copy?
Mon, September 10, 2007 - 11:42 PMHonestly? Don't bother. The book isn't that good, and some of what passes for an engineering analysis of technique is nonsense. Victor has been doing Silat for a very long time. His skills are in areas other than technical writing. -

Re: Serak the Tsunami - anyone know of an available copy?
Sun, January 20, 2008 - 10:39 AMAbsolutely on the money Todd,
The book is pretty much useless and not at all accurate. Better to try to get Paul De Thouars Serak sambuts 1- 18 on Video or at least his bukti 1- 8 . There is more there than anything I have seen Pak Vic do. You will find W.A.R by Cliff stewart far more practical and useful.
Best wishes

Re: Serak the Tsunami - anyone know of an available copy?
Tue, March 11, 2008 - 12:16 PMThanks for the input, Santiago.
I have studied Guru Stewart's W.A.R. materials and it is definitely very useful.
I am curious about Pendekar Paul De Thouars Serak Sambuts on video. I do have his Bukti materials or at least a fair amount, but any assistance locating his Serak sambuts on Video is greatly appreciated.
Warm Regards,

Re: Serak the Tsunami - anyone know of an available copy?
Wed, March 12, 2008 - 11:13 AMYou won't find them in any authorized form. Some years back Paul stopped teaching Sera. His senior students no longer list it in their bios and don't teach it. The PDT Academy and its representatives do not seem to have any intention of promoting or preserving the style. It's a damned shame, but that's how it is.

Sun, April 20, 2008 - 6:32 PMI would not worry about getting this book to much! It's not worth the effort.
